United Arab Emirates is one of the leading countries to adapt with cloud seeding technique for artificial rain.
Cloud Seeding
Initially this Techniques used by spraying chemical on clouds with silver iodide or carbon dioxide and it create cyclone of dense clouds. Slowly and gradually this process was improved by the researchers to get the optimum outcome.
United Arab Emirates has newer technologies to combined shooting water-attracting salt flares with releasing salt nanoparticles that need to spray on the clouds by the fleet drones to stimulate and accelerate the condensation process in the clouds and form the rain droplets. This process is done under controlled manner due to high temperature which cause wind blast or sudden atmospheric change.
Type of Cloud Seeding
- Hygroscopic Cloud Seeding:
Scatters salts through flares or explosives in the lower
segments of mists. The salt fills in size as water gets together with them.
- Static Cloud Seeding:
It includes spreading a substance like silver iodide into mists. The silver iodide gives a gem around which dampness can gather.
The dampness is as of

- Dynamic Cloud Seeding:
It intends to help vertical air flows, which urges more water to go through the mists, converting into more downpours.

It involves air planes or drones to uplift chemicals to the sky and release them by flare it cost a large amount along with cost of materials. Eg: silver iodide

The chemicals that are used in artificial rain falls like salt flare, silver iodide Residual on the ground are toxic and can create pollution. Dry ice that contributes to the global warming effects.
China is also working on it and has announced that this year
they will increase the use of Artificial Raining technology. As they were
intended to change weather for many years and many more countries are coming up
with this technology to provide water solutions for better living.
